The Men’s 2s faced a frighteningly physical Sutton Valence side this weekend but managed to secure a 4–2 win!
The highlight was a Sutton player making a horrendous tackle, only to end up on the floor with BOTH shoes flying off! Unsurprisingly, a green card followed. A proper Halloween horror story!
Biran produced some brilliant carries and deservedly took MOM. Goals came from Dunny, Isaac and Freddie X2 . Isaac’s drag flick was heading straight for the net before taking a deflection, although he insists it was going in.The short corners also produced miss traps which will be next weeks training session .
Faz had a solid game after stepping up from the 10s, Aaron made some crucial tackles and picked out great aerials, while Ben Beatty pulled off a brilliant DJ slide clearance.
DOD went to myself for forgetting the size of a hockey pitch, although personally Faz’s drag flick from five metres out that ended up miles over the crossbar was a strong contender!
Despite being disappointed with the overall performance, the boys secured the three points and sent Sutton Valence home haunted!
