Canterbury Ladies O35’s delivered a composed and confident performance to secure a 2–0 victory over Old Georgians O35’s.
The home side set the tone early, controlling possession and applying consistent pressure. Their breakthrough came in the first half from a well-executed penalty corner, with Mel Clewlow striking cleanly to give Canterbury a deserved lead.
Old Georgians battled hard to get back into the game, but Canterbury’s defence remained organised and disciplined, limiting clear opportunities. A special mention to player of the match Alice Dunn with some laid back saves in goal. In the second half, Canterbury extended their advantage through Cara Brogan-Jones, who finished confidently from open play after a well-worked attacking move and great advantage from the umpire.
With a solid defensive display and clinical finishing at key moments, Canterbury saw out the game comfortably to claim a well-earned 2–0 win. On to the semi-finals on Saturday 18th April.
