This week the men’s first IX took on Sevenoaks which ended with another 3 points for Canterbury. The game started with Sevenoaks taking an early lead after scoring a short corner (that after closer inspection never left the D). But despite this early lead Canterbury quickly regained control of the game with some great deflections that nearly lead to our first goal. However our first goal came from Mr Ben Young with a clever PCA route resulting in Ben Bering shooting the ball into the roof of the goal (with the help of the Sevenoaks post man). Canterburys second goal came in the second half of the game via Mr Cal Brown-Lea scoring an incredible deflection resulting in the final score of 2-1 to Canterbury. This weeks MOM was Ben Young and this weeks DOD was Dom Curtiss.
