With spirits high because of the win last weekend. The Men’s X1 faced a strong Sevenoaks team looking to take all three points.

The first quarter started, and Canterbury took no time to apply pressure, forcing plenty of turnovers and opportunities. However, Sevenoaks had a few opportunities on the counterattack but couldn’t convert.

Much of the same was to follow in the second quarter. Canterbury were in control, passing the ball with purpose and precision. Canterbury finally took the lead through a short corner where Lachlan Sampson found himself in the right spot to tap the ball in, making it 1-0.

The third quarter whistle blew, and Canterbury tried to keep up the high intensity throughout the final two quarters. But it started to slip, and gaps were starting to open for Sevenoaks catching Canterbury on the break. Sevenoaks started to gain some success, seeing them win short corners, which they were able to convert, making the scoreline 2-1.

The final quarter got under way, and Canterbury were desperately looking to find an equaliser. However, whilst chasing the game, they opened up gaps throughout the pitch, which Sevenoaks once again managed to find a way to score. 3-1

to Sevenoaks. Not long after, the final whistle blew, and the game finished 3-1.
