Canterbury faced a spirited and youthful opposition against Tunbridge Wells L2, and while the match had its challenges, there were definitely some bright spots. Alex put on a brave face and tried to convince the umpire that the ball didn’t hit her leg, managing to hold out for about 20 seconds before she gave a small ouch as a penalty flick was awarded, which unfortunately led to a goal for the opposition.

Lilly showcased her skills on her ladies debut with some fantastic drives down the pitch, creating great opportunities and taking impressive shots. However, the opposition capitalized on a few counterattacks, scoring two more goals before halftime.

The second half saw Canterbury shine especially for the first 20 minutes, culminating in a goal from Ellie A after a little mishap with Moi. Then in a surprising twist, Alex was no ballerina as she ended up doing the splits and literally crawling off the pitch! Despite some amazing efforts, the young opposition struck again, ending the match with a 4-1 loss for Canterbury. Overall, there were plenty of positives to take into the next match!
