Well played today every one it was a tough game. Welcome to two new players . Imogen and Fleur.
An enthusiastic squad started the match with lots of energy and vigour.
However it became clear early on that the Deal team had certainly strengthen their squad and today’s game would take on a different outcome.
We managed to hold the opposition 0-0 for a long time, thanks to some amazing saves from our Man of the Match, Rachael in goal. Out half time team talk was concise and clear. Keep Calm and Go Wide!
We endeavoured with Mr D’s insights but unfortunately their constant attacks and slick passing certainly got the better of us and finally the flood gates opened. Not to be said the defending line were certainly defiant and showed true grit . Lynn Fiona Gill and Julia all had great games.
The final score did not reflect the game, we all acknowledged that Deal were the better team, however the match was played in our traditional team spirit ” lets go and have fun and enjoy ourselves.
Thank you Gill for standing in as Captain, Nigel for his wisdom and Suzie for running the bench . Onwards and upwards for the 5ths and keep smiling!
