Cantebrury 3s played Sevenoaks Acorns away on a chilly November day. With an impressive display of skill and teamwork, Canterbury were led to their first victory. From the very beginning, the team demonstrated exceptional determination to win. With Becs, Fee and Scarlett creating wonderful leads down the line, executing well-timed play, led to a powerful shot that found the back of the net by Sue who scored the very first goal of the game, setting the tone for the rest of the game.
As the match progressed, the defence held strong, effectively shutting down any attempts from the opposing team to get on the scoreboard. With Georgia at the back holding the team together, Mim and Georgia took the opportunity to take the ball to other end of the pitch which led Ej to find the back of the net. Making the score 2-0 at half time.
In the second half the team continued to dominate, adding two more goals to their tally. The third goal was scored by a perfectly executed short corner. The team lined up with precision, and the ball was injected swiftly to the top of the circle. With Jaime and Kate stepping out of defence saw Kate with the ball soaring past the defenders and goalkeeper.
With canterbury in good spirits, they carried on working together, with seamless passing and strategic positioning, for Jess, Scarlett and Becs to work together to get the ball to Ej who graciously scored the last goal for Canterbury.
The final whistle blew, sealing a well-deserved 4-0 win, leaving the team and their supporters celebrating a fantastic performance for their first win of the season.
