Our Saturday match started off at home against the Canterbury ladies 2s. It was a Canterbury 3s push back and we started strong advancing into attacking putting pressure into their midfield and defence, however they quickly fought back. Our defence held them back with georgia saving multiple shots leaving the score to remain 0-0. After a lot of back and forth on the pitch the half time whistle was called the score remained 0-0.
We all caught our breath and were ready to hold them off, however the 2s came back stronger. They quickly applied pressure onto our mid and defence line and put away a goal. Throughout the next 20 minutes the team put us under a lot of pressure leading us to concede 4 more goals. The score was now 5-0 but we were determined to try and put away a goal, we strongly put pressure onto the wings trying to advance and hopefully put away a goal. We were unlucky not to score in the last few minutes of the game.
The final whistle was called at 5-0, however this was no reflection of the way the ladies 3s played.
