Blackheath / Eltham 2s vs Canterbury 4s
The match started with canterbury down a player but determined for a win on their last match of the season. With the bangers playing in the warm up and our surprise goalie for the day – Georgia!!! Cantebrury were ready for push back.
Blackheath were fighting hard to be able to stay in the league with plenty of attacks but nothing our amazing georgia couldn’t stop.
Holly, Mel and Chloe did some amazing drives but unfortunately couldn’t get it into the net. With the weather being hotter then ever Canterbury were struggling which allowed blackheath to slip a goal into the net. Johanna turning up better late then never and helped us with our attacks, unfortunately Blackheath got the better of us and scored another goal. Cantebrury were defending and trying to use their skills but the opposition scored another 2 goals for half time, with the score being 4-0.
The second half stared with Canterbury determined to score a goal. Our forward line. making some good runs from the middle out to the left and the right but just couldn’t get it past the keeper. Canterbury had managed to get a few short corners which nearly gave us a goal however we couldn’t manage to get it in the back of the net. Eva had made a good run with an outstanding play into johanna who played it all the way across the d which had to put Holly’s legs to work, who gracefully slipped it to moira who slotted over the goalie nicely, making a lovely team goal, we had scored !! after running for a full 70 minutes with so subs the game had ended 4-1 to blackheath.
