The game started and continued with high intensity from both teams. We were well matched and knew our derby oppo well. The game was played trying to penetrate their known weaknesses. But it was our weak spots that were taken advantage of as we finished the first half 2-0 down after a straight strike short corner went in.
Second half had some lovely triangles up both sides but we were unable to be convincing in the D. A sneaky third goal went in which finished the game 3 nil to the oppo. Some highlights included Lizzie’s save on the line but along with stopping the goal she broke her finger. Another defensive save into Lizzie’s knee (but she came back on to finish the game). Alex giving the oppo a little leg stretch. And MOM goes to Jess who had a stormer in defence and midfield stopping and distributing the ball with style.
Overall a great team effort- onwards and upwards to next week
