The match began with a hungry fight for possession from both teams, with equal amounts of aggressive attacks. Canterbury began to draw ahead with possession and managed to score a well deserved team goal with EJ getting the ball in the back of the net.
The first half ended with a slim 1-0 lead for Canterbury, during the first half we had kept a very high press, making it hard for Tunbridge to push into our half.
During half time Ziggy, Lizzie and Alex gave the team some fighting words, getting everyone ready for the second half. The second half began with Tunbridge Wells fighting for an equaliser, Canterbury holding down a strong defence. After getting a short corner, EJ hits another incredible shot straight into the goal from the top of the D making it 2-0 to Canterbury.
Tunbridge Wells were quick to match Canterburys fighting spirit as they got a goal within minutes of EJs making the score 2-1. With the game intensity increasing both sides were hungry for the win. As the time wound down both our attack and defence working strongly against their formidable opponents.
But then the whistle finally blew, it was a great effort from both sides but in the end Canterbury secured the win.
