Canterbury were on the road this week, seeing themselves play Old Loughtonians, where three points are needed to carry on the title charge. Canterbury started strong, seeing themselves as having opportunities early on in the first quarter, but were unable to capitalise. Against the run of play, Old Loughtonians threw an overhead, which found their player in the D, and managed to slot it into the bottom left-hand corner. 1-0 down. However, Canterbury did not let that phase them and continued applying pressure, which was rewarded with a goal from Josh Prebble. Canterbury didn’t stop there and carried on creating chances, but the score line still remains at 1-1. The Old Loughtonians managed to win themselves a penalty corner, which was converted, seeing Canterbury fall behind again. Unfortunately, things didn’t go Canterbury’s way, and they saw another two goals go in, which wrapped up the game, leaving the final score 4-1.

A hard week of training ahead and plenty to work on before we battle it out with the University of Exeter in the final game of the first half of the season.
