After only 10 minutes on the pitch to warm up Canterbury 3s set off with a good spirit.
With a Canterbury pushback to start EJ started us off with a strong pass into the midfield. Unfortunately sevenoaks swooped in with quick pace and accurate passes leading to a conceded goal within the first 5 minutes.
Determined Canterbury continued, trying to use Elysia and Scarlett on the wings Canterbury tried to push higher. Unfortunately many of our passes were intercepted leading sevenoaks to maintain possession and score 4 more goals.
5-0 down at half time Canterbury were intent on not letting anymore goals in during the second half. With a sevenoaks pushback they advanced quickly putting pressure onto Maddie and Johanna on the right. Although several more short corners were given Sevenoaks failed to put anything past Georgia.
From Lizzie’s strong hits on the 16, Canterbury were able to try and put to pressure on the Sevenoaks defence. Using pace and quick decision making Cantebury maintained the ball leading to play in the D. Canterbury had some on target shots on goal we couldn’t get it passed the Sevenoaks goalkeeper.
With only 2 minutes left Canterbury tried to advance into the D to atleast score one, unluckily the final whistle was blown leaving Canterbury at a 5-0 loss to Sevenoaks.
