Starting off in terrible weather, the 3s kept a positive attitude despite the downpour of rain. Conceding an unlucky goal in the first half, we maintained a close and interesting match, scoring a great goal from a short corner, which sadly didn’t count for some reason 🙄. While playing the strong opposition and battling hard,
Trudy sustained a painful injury towards the end of the first half so Ava Sonnen saved the day and stepped in as our goal keeper after half time.
In the second half, we started strong with a goal from Ellie Johnson from a short corner, making the score 1-1, which didn’t make the opposition too happy. As the weather started to improve, the 3s slowly became tired and conceded 3 more unfortunate goals, one of which was impressive and w E had no chance to stop it and was t flew into the top left netting. Despite our numerous chances of scoring and great play from many players, we didn’t manage to score, man of the match went to Miriam Thorpe.
