The Ladies 3rds were up against Ashford 2’s this week. The ladies started off strong with a positive attitude, a few great passes from Kate and Alex sent the ball traveling into the oppositions D countless times, Canterbury began the pressure, pressing in on the position fighting for a goal. The ball managed to find Cara who was free at the top of the D, she managed to smack a brilliant ball perfectly into the goal, giving the ladies a great start! Unfortunately Ashford managed to chip in a goal at the end of a short corner, equalising the game.
Chloe Solley, and Martha Lane worked well together clearing the ball and driving it up the line giving good opportunities. The ladies fought hard to bring the score up but Ashford again chipped in a goal, giving ashford a lead of 2-1.
The girls powered on, the forwards, Pippa , Hannah and Anna worked well together staying high, the ball managed to slip into the D, and Pippa took the opportunity to score a fantastic goal.
Canterbury kept up the pressure and defended well for the rest of the game. The result was 2-2! Well done girls!
