Dear dairy, the walk to the bright blue pitch was sooooo long. The Canterbury ladies 2s knew it would be a tough game against the top of the league but the girls took it in stride and stepped onto the pitch ready to give it their all. Both teams battled it out strongly within the first 20 minutes of the game but the opposition ultimately secured a short corner, which resulted in a goal despite Becs’ rapid saves. Despite this the girls still remained in high spirits and gave it their all, reaching the oppositions D , but were unable to secure a goal. The Old Georgians took this opportunity and gave the unsuspecting Canterbury side a counter attack, scoring another goal and ending the first half. The second half commenced in a defensive manner, with a couple break always from the Canterbury squad in an attempt to achieve a goal which proved unsuccessful. Eventhough the opposition took every opportunity to score, Becs was here there and everywhere and made some fabulous saves, however through another short corner the Old Georgians won a sneaky third goal. In the final few minutes the old Georgians scored again, which brought the score to 4-0 and this concluded the penultimate match of the season. We better see you next week at our final match !!
