In a captivating encounter, Canterbury dominated Brighton and deservedly earned a hard-fought 2-2 draw in Brighton’s final home game of the season.

Despite Brighton starting the match brightly and taking the lead with the final play of the first quarter, Canterbury quickly responded and controlled the game for long periods. They managed to equalize through Harmer in the second quarter, and their relentless pressure kept Brighton on the back foot for much of the game.

Canterbury continued to dominate proceedings in the second half, creating numerous chances, and were finally rewarded with a well-deserved lead in the final stages of the match, courtesy of a deflected effort from Puzey.

However, Brighton managed to level the score with just two minutes remaining in the game through yet another crash ball, much to the relief of their home fans. Despite the late setback, Canterbury remained undeterred and continued to push forward, but the match ended in a hard-fought draw.

Canterbury can take great pride in their performance, as they outplayed Brighton and dominated proceedings for much of the game. They were unlucky not to secure all three points. The result leaves Canterbury with a decent chance of finishing the season on a high, as they continue to battle for a spot in the top 3 of the league table.

Join us next Sunday for what is set to be a thrilling encounter as Canterbury need a win to finish in the top 3, whilst opponents Bristol need a win to avoid relegation.
