With the DOD already pre determined as Sibs for shirt related issues, the 4s were ready to make amends for the previous week. The usual team talk of scoring in the first 5 minutes looked like it was going to happened when we put a lot of pressure on Gravesend and could have been a few goals up. However, Gravesend were dangerous on the break and Kendra had a busy day! Jina struggled with an injury from an early clash with their centre forward, this meant Milney had to drop back into defence. It was a tough game and the half time team talk said there was no room for schoolgirl hockey, we had to get gritty and play hard, or go home, especially when we went one nil down. But being the amazing team that we are, we battled hard and equalised with a goal mouth scramble put away by Ellie A.
Excellent games from so many people today, but special mention to Chloe and Scarlett who really battled hard, and Georgia who just kept running. However, player of the match Kendra was on fire today and put in a faultless performance really keeping us in the game. With other results going our way , we are back where we should be…TOP OF THE TABLE ! Bring on the rest of the season! Boom!
