On a cold blowy morning, Canterbury Ladies 3’s started at Ashford hockey club with high hopes for a win. We were very dominant in the first half, scoring a goal with in the first 5 minutes of the game, with a lovely straight strike from Lizzie from a short corner.
We continued to battle our way through the first half with some good hockey played. However Ashford managed to level the score just before half time.
At the start of the second half we knew we had to win another goal back. About half way into the second half Pippa got a goal from open play which meant we went 2-1 up.
For the rest of the second half we managed to keep the score 2-1 and take the win, with them very much needed 3 points.
