Ladies 2nd XI vs Sevenoaks 2’s (Home) | 25 Feb 23

Lost 2-0

MoM: Kayla Pollard

DoD: Freya Sonnen

Dear diary,

It was sooooo windy and cold. However, a random heatwave would appear every 5 minutes. Canterbury started off strong applying pressure and creating 2V1s up the line creating some fantastic opportunities at goal with Kate almost scoring but hitting the post. Unfortunately, Sevenoaks came away with a fast counter attack and finished it bottom corner making it 1-0. Canterbury fought back with some fantastic leads to the bottom corner and injecting fast into the D planting the ball on a foot to win some short corners where Sevenoaks defended bravely keeping the score at 1-0. Into the second half Sevenoaks started to try force the ball through the middle where Kayla was able to pick the ball up easily and drive forwards with some agile attacks but coming away short. Sevenoaks won possession on the halfway line and fired it down the left where the ball was forward in and touch secured them their second goal. Canterbury didn’t let this discourage them and continued to play forward but just being unlucky in the final quarter of the pitch. The game ended an unlucky 2-0 and with Kayla having a smashing game rightfully earns MoM.

At home again next week for Super Saturday. Hope to see you all there if not I’ll be coming for you xoxo gossip girl
