Dear diary,
Today was a bamboozle…. After Dunny had a fight with the water cannons we were under way. Woking put pressure on early with some great attacks but Canterbury fought back having some fabulous attacks of their own. After a couple shakey decisions from the umpires Woking gained 2 short corners and converted both to make it 2-0. Canterbury fought back creating several opportunities where we converted them to short corners but were unlucky to score. Woking had a lucky counter attack and converted it to a short corner and scored. At half time Canterbury refuelled with Haribo’s and we’re rearing to get back out there and level the score. From some highly motivating fans we picked up the pace and applied huge amounts of duress to Woking (who could not handle it) and won a short corner where Emma smashed into the goal beautifully 🤌🤌 This shook Woking who began to crack more which left Canterbury gaps to attack. Sofia made some class runs up the line creating fantastic opportunities and rightfully earned MoM. The game ended a sorrowful 3-1 to the visitors but our post match mood was not disheartened in any way. Finally before I go, we wish Sofia all the best on her travels around the world and hopes she has the best time.
