After a late start on a dull afternoon, Canterbury 5’s took on Burnt Ash. Fortunately the M25 was kind to us and we all managed to arrive on time
The first half started a bit too slow for our liking, only for the home team to sneak in a goal. We came back more determined, but unfortunately we were unable to find the back of the net and the score remained the same for the rest of the half.
At the restart we were better following an encouraging talk from manager Foxy and Nigel. We were able to have more possession and saw some great passes out from defence to the forward line .
Finally we were awarded a short corner resulting in a goal from Libby with an assist from Sophie, levelling the score. Despite fighting hard to the final whistle the end result was a draw.
The MOM was awarded Johanna , who made some fantastic tackles and amazing passes
