Canterbury travelled away to Marden to continue their run of fine form.
The game started a little different for Canterbury as they found themselves being put under a little more pressure than usual, with less time on the ball before a player was hassling them. However, Canterbury maintained their composure and once they worked out they needed to move the ball a little quicker soon found the first goal with a nicely struck short corner by Milney.
With an energetic forward line, Canterbury succeeded with a high press, with Pippa stealing a transfer ball and slotting it home past a confused defender and goalkeeper.
The second-half continued in much the same fashion with Milney in fine form, some beautiful passing hockey up through the back line, with good interlinking between Scarlett and Jess on the right and the ever hard working forward line. Eventually a third goal was achieved with rebound from a short corner from Nikki. And we won’t mention the 1 goal by Marden on the final whistle!
