Canterbury started off strong but Sevenoaks had a lucky counter attack and scored just going past Trudy. With the support the Anna and Alex either side, Ellie ran up the line and shot into the corner of the goal. This made the score 1-1. Canterbury battled hard and achieved multiple short corners, which unfortunately didn’t lead to a goal. Sevenoaks had a lucky 2V1 which sadly resulted in another goal. We then got a break through and Hannah crossed the ball and Moira slapped it in. With our confidence restored we then got another attack in which Ellie hit the backboard! Half time came and the score was 3-2. Sevenoaks had a short corner but with our great defence we managed to get it out. However our defence was put under a lot of pressure and we conceded another goal. Desperately wanting to win the match, we continued playing strongly and with some shots from our forwards, Kate managed to get a goal on the second phase, putting us 4-3 up. With only a couple minutes remaining Canterbury tired out and Sevenoaks kept the pressure on and after some ‘confusion’ from Canterbury broke through and got a last minute goal making the final score 4-4.
