An early start saw the Ladies 3’s play against the Sevenoaks Acorns. The team was slow to warm up with ‘several’ distractions. It proved to be a tough match but the ladies powered on and managed to create many opportunities to score. The first half consisted of several short corners awarded to Canterbury but we weren’t quite able to slip the ball past the oppositions defence, with saves on the line. Nevertheless we kept battling forward, driving the ball down, passing to our forwards, creating many chances at goal. The second half was just as impressive, Canterbury stayed strong and held their ground against the oppositions attackers, this made it far more difficult for the score to be altered. It was a match well played from both teams, the final score was 0-0. Canterbury played at a very high standard and we all worked our socks off!!
