The ladies 4’s travelled away to the not so sunny Maidstone in search of 3 points to make up for the dropped 2 last week.
However, the first half started off not to the game plan as no goals were scored in the first five minutes!! We were close and kept a high press but didn’t quite manage to get the ball in the goal due to some great goal keeping, oh, and a belly flop from Moira.

So back to the game plan… 2 minutes into the second half Nikki scored a screamer into the top corner of the goal… boom…. we were off. Mel scored the next goal in a great goal mouth scramble, and moira fired in the third… or did she? The ball trickled over the line, but hey, a goal is a goal!
Some amazing attacking play from the whole Canterbury team, getting better and stronger, using the width of the pitch and back again, and Scarlett on her 4’s debut had a great game earning herself player of the match 🙌 and an Olympic medal from our sponsor today Lizzy Yarnold 🤪
