Canterbury ladies 2s were set to play Epsom 1s today and after not having much luck last week at getting past Maidstone, they were ready to win! The starting whistle went and we pushed the ball out with with a couple good attacks on goal. Epsom we’re not scared to push back which resulted in them getting an early short corner and goal. Canterbury went in to the second half with a new mindset of being much more aggressive and wanting to win those 50/50 balls. The hard work began to pay off along with great communication from everyone. We had gained a short corner from some fabulous stick skills, injected by Chirpy and smashed into the backboard by Tilly T. That put us 1-1 with still time left to get another. Epsom came back even stronger with Becs making some quality saves which kept us in the game. After hard work from the back, Tilly T got the ball and ran the pitch putting it on her reverse when she got to the D and scoring, meaning the Ladies 2s have won 3/3 games which is a great start to the season!!
