The first league match of the season saw an excellent team performance and a deserved 5-1 victory against a strong and skilful Canterbury Pilgrims side. We started strongly, scoring a couple of early goals and taking a commanding 4-0 lead into halftime. The second half was much more competitive with lots of chances from both sides, but the team continued to work hard and controlled the game well resulting in our 5-1 victory at full time. Standout performances came from our goal scorers, Isaac with an impressive Hattrick and Tyler adding the other two goals to the total. A special shout out to Henry Hodson making his debut for the 2s at the weekend and putting in a great shift, showing off some incredible skills and narrowly losing the vote for MOTM. Overall it was a brilliant start to the season and a strong all round display that we hope to build on as the season progresses.
