Our little adventure into south-east London proved a tad disappointing on Saturday.
Although we did manage to put a smile on the umpire’s face for our surprize rendition of ” Happy Birthday” to him before the game!
Through-out the game we ran our little socks off, the game was played in good spirits and was entertaining end to end stuff.
With 15 minutes to go and with Canterbury pushing high with possession, the inevitable happened and a break away goal broke our hearts that sneaked in at the far post.
The oppo obviously saw the win in their sights and parked the bus for the remainder of the game.
Everyone gave their all, so we go again against high riding Cliftonville next week
We gave the “Miss of the Match Award ” to Rose, with only her second game for us, and a special mention to Millie our GK who then rushed off to play for the 4s.!
