Our game on Saturday v Gravesend 2s was played in good spirits and was definitely not a dull 0-0 draw.
Although both sides played with good tempo the final circle play failed to be that creative as the defences were sound and solid, our newest recruit Amy was like a whirlwind and snuffed the play from all over the pitch.
The team were fortunate not to go behind at the turn of the half, as the ball sneaked under the GKs foot, fortunately Gravesend had not managed to get a stick on the shot.
Canterbury were unlucky not to snatch the winning goal in the dying seconds as a near post cross missed the final touch
We thank our umpires for allowing a free flowing game resulting in a good- hearted and very enjoyable game.
