Canterbury HC 6 – 0 Team Bath

In a high-stakes relegation battle, Canterbury HC delivered a stunning performance to ensure their survival in the league, claiming a dominant 6-0 victory over Team Bath Buccaneers at Polo Farm. The atmosphere was electric as the home crowd, packed with passionate supporters, roared on their team with everything on the line. The boys in green were ready to fight for survival, and from the first whistle, it was clear they were intent on securing all three points.

The match kicked off with both teams knowing exactly what was at stake. Canterbury, needing a win to stay up, started brightly, and it didn’t take long for the home side to break the deadlock. A beautifully executed backhand by Rasmussen put Canterbury 1-0 up, sending the home fans into raptures.

With the momentum on their side, Canterbury pressed forward relentlessly. The second goal came courtesy of a fine strike from R. Mayes, who netted his first goal for the club to double the lead. The home side’s confidence was growing, and they continued to dominate possession and create chances.

It was Rasmussen who continued to be a thorn in Bath’s side, grabbing a second goal to make it 3-0. Canterbury’s attacking play was fluid and relentless, with their precision on display as they tore through Bath’s defense.

As the game progressed, Canterbury’s hunger for more goals remained unabated. Harmer was in the right place at the right time, pouncing at the far post to make it 4-0. Bath, desperate for a result, had no answer to the relentless wave of attacks from the home side.

Rasmussen wasn’t done yet, completing his hat trick with an easy tap-in into an empty net after a well-worked team move. His third goal capped off a superb individual performance and sealed the points for Canterbury.

To add insult to injury for Bath, Brown-Lea added a sixth with a precise flick, further asserting Canterbury’s dominance. The 6-0 win confirmed Canterbury’s spot in the league for next season
