Gossip girl here. Let me run you though this weeks match.
Away at Marden Russets; the main challenge today was finding the venue…
Everybody came in ready to get those 3 points however nobody realised the soaking we were in for.
Warm up was good on the baby pitch but we were all eager to get onto big daddy pitch and start the show. Whistle blew and we were away. Not too long after starting the apples took the lead with a well rehearsed short corner landing at the back of the net. Our feathers were ruffled but not enough to stop us equalising with a deflection – Thank you Harry POTTER your quidditch skills help us once again.
The game continued with some high speed passing from our girls and sexy base line runs from Lara making heads turn and our opposition dizzy but no goals were made. Georgina had her eyes set to score to bring us the lead but instead ran into Tara leaving her flat on the floor (I thought we were playing hockey not wrestling).
Moving past that, Val drove into the D and made the sneakiest of passes into the back of the goal bringing us out on top at last! We had chances at short corners but nothing prepared us for a lovely field goal from the one and only JOHN CENAAAAAA… aka Georgina DAVIS. She took a clean hit for the right side of the D and sent the goalie spinning. Whistle went and 3 points landed in our green pockets. Jaynie this one was for you.
