Firstly I would like to quote the words of Stuart Keir “win as a team, lose as a team” unfortunately this week we had to lose as a team. there are many words to describe the teams performance this week however I believe there is a word limit… Unfortunately the Pilgrims only decided to start displaying their best game in the final 10 minutes of the game. Burnt Ash came out strong putting one straight into the back of the net within 5 minutes of pushback. Burnt Ash displayed some top quality short corner routines during the game although this was not helped by the left postman who “was sulking” The boys started to play some better hockey in the second half seeing an Andrew Hurst hat trick and conceding a limited amount in the latter stages of the game. The pilgrims look to bounce back in two weeks time as we face Herne Bay M1s, let’s hope the scoreline goes in our favour this time… honourable mention to Fred, outstanding performance this week!
