The Grims returned to winnings ways against a struggling Cliftonville. After 2 torrid weeks, 3 points were much needed and this was the perfect opportunity to do so.

The day started with bad news as skipper Simon Bucks had to pull out of the game due to a night of sheer stomach emptying and couldn’t leave the house. So, last years skipper Stewart, found the armband for one more time.

Talking of gadget, he was the one to put us ahead with a perfectly executed dragflick to the glove side of the keeper, after calling it in huddle before taking it was a perfect way to put us 1-0 up.

The Cliftonville keeper was the one keeping them in the game, 3 of their strongest players played in the back 5 so chances came but one was always there to clean up and going into half time the score was only 1-0 and we knew we could put more past them !

So, on them we who steps up, go go gadget arms himself slotted another PC hard and low stick side of the keeper and that made the game more comfortable.

A third goal from Riley on the back post after a deflected cross lobbed over the defence and he was on hand to smash the ball into the net.

We travel too south Saxons next week ( or this week👀) which the match report will be below 🫡
