The ladies 3’s set off to cold weather in Folkestone- we started to first half of to an amazing goal on the backhand from EJ which made us 1-0 up then some great play between Lizzie and Alex at the back then we had a short corner which was injected by Gemma then hit into the left bottom corner by Gabs which made us 2-0 up in the first half!!
Scarlet and Elysia played the ball through there midfield creating a lot of attacking opportunities, Chloe and Mim made amazing runs down the line which also created a lot of shots or short corners. Georgina had some great interceptions and shots at the goal and was unlucky not to score.
We were slow to start the second half allowing the opposition some shots on goal, Georgia made some incredible saves but unfortunately the other team scored, the team kept there heads up and kept going Kate made some amazing stops and some fantastic tackles,Jess made some amazing drives down the left hand side and incredible interceptions putting pressure on the opposition forwards which created Hannah’s drives down the line amazing,
EJ then went on to score a cracking goal which made us 3-1 up, the team worked amazingly together to score another goal by Mim making it 4-1 to Canterbury, in the last few minutes the opposition has scored making it 4-2 which was an excellent win for Canterbury women’s 3s securing us 3 points!!!
