The 5s travelled away to Dartford on a windy afternoon, eager for a match after last week’s cancellation.
With a new mixture of players and the Captain in goal, we prepared ourselves for a good game.
Play started strong and equal, moving up and down the pitch with lots of good interceptions and tackles from Canterbury.
Unfortunately Burnt Ash managed to make a run and slipped it in the goal just past Sophie’s foot.
We restarted with a new fire and went on the attack, creating lots of opportunities and many short corners but couldn’t quite find the net!
Everyone up and down working extremely hard, making good runs and solid defending then the half time whistle blew.
We went back out prepared to face the opposition and played excellently creating more chances and having majority possession. Burnt Ash managed to get a few breaks and some short corners but all were beautifully defended away.
Unfortunately we were just unable to slot a goal away before the final whistle blew ending the match a very unlucky 1-0 to Burnt Ash.
