This weekend, Canterbury Men’s 2XI travelled further south to play Lewes who sat bottom of the table and canterbury a few places above. A crucial game to put points on the board. With it being a long and tedious journey, the lads only had a 11 players for the first 5 minutes of the first half due to there being some technical difficulties with Leo’s alarm and this is where Lewes chose to strike gaining a short corner in the first two minutes and converting but shortly after canterbury bounce back with a horror pass from Lewes which Mack picks up in the middle of the D and makes it 1-1. Bucks also gets his name on the score sheet and canterbury were in full throttle. Ali Figgis turned into Prime Alexander Hendrix converting 5 short corners from 5 and couldn’t not be stopped. In the second half Lewes came out a stronger grabbing a consolation goal but the game was very much over. Spenny and Charlie J also grab goals to solidify a fantastic win for the 2s getting the score difference up and taking home 3 points.
