Match Report:

The boys return to the home ground in good spirits, optimistic about the game ahead. The spectators rallied to witness the game about to commence. The boys were in high spirits in the warm up as they had balls to play with, thanks to OC’s returning them.

The first quarter saw OC’s getting a goal. Soon after Beano got a goal with a ripper of a dragflick to even the scoring.

The second quarter saw no drama as Canterbury maintained the scoreline. Apart from Josh prebble, who was desperate to get a rest so he made a tactical foul which lead to him getting a green card.

In the 3rd quarter, after several threatening runs from Josh kitson, the boys won a penalty corner which lead to King’s finest geography teacher finding the back of the net off of a rebound from the keeper, then proceeding to do the Alan Shearer celebration. In an unforeseen twist, Charlie wanted to get in on the action as he managed to get himself a card from chat, despite not actually being on the pitch.

The fourth quarter, where things really got exciting. After some brilliant defending (seen as questionable play by the umpire), Nathan Sumner got himself a yellow card from back chat, clearly taking a leaf out of the aussie playbook.

The match ends 2-1 and the boys are back to winning ways. Onto the next…
