On the show pitch and in front of a home crowd, Canterbury were determined to put on a good show against top of the table, Old Willies.
Canterbury welcomed Julie S-B to goalkeeping after a 20 year absence! Another welcome addition was Daisy Lee Browne before she schusses off for a ski season. Both added calm and composure to the team, although one of them was gallantly offered help to her feet by younger members of the team! Canterbury, at times, played some lovely hockey and were certainly not out played and had them rattled as the game progressed. Lottie was an absolute terrier and harried the opposition in all areas of the pitch, thoroughly deserving MOM.
Although a loss, they were a tough well organised team and we did match them for much of the game. Bring on next week!
