Barnes were able to cease their opportunity through a well worked short corner routine early in the second quarter. Canterbury help on through a rough patch and equalised shortly before the end of the first half through a glorious deflection by our very own Captain fantastic, Sophie Pinney. The second half saw changes for both teams to take the lead, perhaps more so for the travelling team. Sarah Kerly-Werly saw yellow with 5 minutes to go which meant Canterbury were in for a difficult final few minutes. The steadfast Mears and Pinney managed to keep out two corners after the final whistle to determine a well fought 1-1 draw. Well done to Princess Aurora on her well deserved MoM.
