Winner winner chicken salt dinner!!!
It was an absolute storma of a day. Determined for a win the ladies got out on to the pitch with a strong, full press start. With many attempts on goal the ladies were unlucky to capitalise and the first half ended 0-0.
The second half plan was much the same as the first but with a renewed level of intensity, Canterbury pressed even harder. Their efforts were rewarded when a shot on target ended up with Eastbourne conceding a penalty flick. With a calm head, Chirpy stepped up the the spot and made sure of a 1-0 lead.
Maintaining the attacking momentum, it wasn’t long before Canterbury claimed another goal when Iona took on the keeper, recognised she was going to ground, deftly stepped around her and put the ball securely in the goal. The remainder of the game was played out with Canterbury always keeping control of the play. A well-deserved 2-0 win to reward a fantastic team effort. Well done girls!
