DoD: Without doubt….. Kate forgetting her kit Berry!
The team arrived fully prepared for a tough match against Woking.
I say fully prepared, that wasn’t true of all of us was it Kate??? Although alcoholic beverages were well remembered for the full time whistle, essential items of kit were not!
However , typically of ladies of a certain age who know what it is like to pack for emergencies, items of essential kit required were mustered up and Kate was suitably prepared for the conquest!
The girls started well and dominated the first half, pulling ahead following a penalty stroke conversion by Nikki.
Our attacking continued in the second half , ably assisted by the match gold winner Trudy who made some awesome saves. With the rain now driving into faces the last five minutes were tense and the gritty defence held on to the final whistle.
The squad now joins the draw for the quarter finals, hopefully getting a home fixture at Polo so our loyal supporters can cheer us on.
