Canterbury travelled to Folkstone . Conditions were blustery with a fresh wind blowing across the ground. Chloe made an early break through the middle. She played a through ball to Libby that was a bit strong and eluded her. Folkstone tried to get an attack going down the right flank but all they could conjure was a timid shot from their 6 which was blocked by our keeper with conviction.
As the half went on, Canterbury managed to earn 2 short corners back to back. The first went wide while the 2nd was converted by number 7, Libby. There was a bit of good fortune with this goal as there were 2 deflections before crossing the line. Canterbury went into the sheds 1. 0 up at the break.
The second half started and within moments, Libby was in the right place at the right time converting from the left of the D. The middle period meandered on before Folkestone made their way into the Canterbury D and managed to get themselves on the score sheet albeit with some controversy.
The dust hadn’t even settled after the first goal and they were back in the Canterbury D with vengeance. The score quickly became 2 2. The remaining 15 minutes ebbed and flowed with Folkstone having the best opportunity to win the game whichfortunately went wide. A crazy game that had its ups and downs came to an end, finishing 2 all.
