Ladies 5s team travelled to Tunbridge Wells to play the Tunbridge Well’s 4s.
Canterbury started strong and were very dominant in the first half, but unfortunately could not convert any of their chances.
Despite very strong defending, we conceded a goal towards the end of the first half. In spite of this, this the team stayed strong and worked together to keep the score 1-0 until half time.
Straight away the team applied some great pressure right after the whistle of the second half.
We kept possession and built up some great attacks, a few leading to short corners.
We managed to convert one of these corners into a goal thanks to a brilliant strike from Scarlett, hereby levelling up the score board.
Tunbridge Wells then gained possession and were on the counter attack, testing Canterbury’s defence.
They managed to win several short corners but our defence denied them any further goals. The game ended with a 1-1 draw and a well fought point from everybody.
