Well ladies and gents what can I say. The Grims are back.
Twas but a rainy day at polo farm but the men were ready to perform after their stint of good form since Christmas.
Sevenoaks being bottom of the league meant we may have gone in a little overconfidently especially after we saw they had a bare 11.
Nevertheless after a rousing speech by El Capitan and goody we emerged to the roar of the polo farm crowds.
We started off strong with 2 goals in the first half (I think a flick from gadget and a skirmishy one from bucks) and we were getting plenty of short corners. Unfortunately we had a little laps right at the end of the first half and I think they made it level.
The rest of the game was pretty sketchy, we always seemed in control but it wasn’t as comfortable as we would’ve liked. Bucks also decided to take a dive despite being though on goal because he realized he didn’t have the legs.
Nevertheless, a great flick from George and a cheeky goal from miles meant we kept a hold of the 3 points.
Now I know what you’re all saying, but Oli Oli why are you writing this match report you’re always so brilliant and well behaved.
You see during the team talk at half time it was highlighted that silly wishy washy deflections from the top of the D shouldn’t happen anymore and guess what yours truly does with his first touch of the second half.
You guessed it, and as a result despite a horrendous green card given to George I was unjustly given DOTD.
