Nice afternoon game with a good number of players available to play. The sun came out for the match making it a bit more enjoyable. Holcombe only had the bear 11 players and a mixture of juniors, back to hockey and some older players. The 10’s had a good mixture of juniors and back to hockey making up the majority of the team.
10’s went 1 down with a deflection at close range into the back of the net but soon picked themselves back up and Rory scoring to equalise. Holcombe kept up the pressure and got a second fast deflection at short range putting them 2-1 ahead. The pressure and shots kept coming but there was a number of excellent saves from Olly in goal including a full shot in the helmet at close range which he managed to put wide. Before the break Samuel T took a nice LBZ which cracked against the backboard.
2nd half was fairly relaxed with both teams looking fairly even. The back to hockey players all looked quite comfortable and played well as a team. Holcombe managed to get one back with a hit at close range.
The game was a well tempered friendly game between the clubs, enjoyed by everyone.
