Canterbury 3s played Tunbridge Wells 1s today. Rearing to go after a strong warm up Tunbridge Wells unfortunately had the first push however Canterbury had a strong first half with the team playing well together and putting pressure on the defence. Unfortunately Tunbridge scored their first goal half way through the first half by a tap in from the right. Nether the less Canterbury kept their heads up and worked together to achieve many opportunities for a shot on goal with Tara delivering a great cross in across goal.
After half time Canterbury one a short corner with Lizzie doing a fast straight strike at the goal. Towards the end of the second half unluckily Tunbridge Wells had some few successful shots on goal, Canterbury continued to work together and our defence continued to play well with Elli saving a last minute ball from going into goal!
Once again Canterbury held their heads up and fought back strong right until the end of the game with many runs up to the oppositions goal. Unfortunately by the end of the game Canterbury were down 4-0 none the less we don’t let that get us down and will come back stronger next week!
