Dear diary,
Last week it was sooo cold and this week it was soooo hot. Once we were all united at the same pitch it was time to warm up and prepare for another tough game. With this week’s average age being lowered to only 20, we knew we’d have the legs in us to play out the full 75 minutes. We started the game quite slow with the opposition playing very aggressively. We conceded a penalty stroke and unfortunately this was the first goal of the game. Another 10 minutes of play went by and we conceded another goal through a penalty corner. It was 2-0 at half time and we knew we’d have to go out strong. Unfortunately, we conceded 2 more goals through penalty corners. Being 4-0 down didn’t stop our determination to stay in the game though. With 15 minutes to go we attacked aggressively and scored our first goal through a penalty corner. The excitement in the girls gave us the drive to attack further and we scored another goal from a penalty corner. We finished the game strong and only lost 4-2 in the end.
Now it’s time for our long commute back home. Until next time hockey lovers…
xoxo Ladies 2’s
