The good news is that it was a beautiful sunny day a perfect day for a game of hockey!
The bad news was Herne Bay Ladies attacked us from the outset and proved to be a more cohesive and a well practised team. The arrival of Tilly at half time certainly bolstered our attack and even resulted in a few on target attacks, but sadly no goals.
Catriona deservedly awarded the MoM as she made some fine efforts to implement match play as discussed with Eirian before the start. A mention also goes to Niamh who made some gallant saves throughout the fairly one sided game.
Canterbury should be proud of their determination and staying power despite the result.
